Stake has launched JAQKpot!, a new poker format that crosses a 3-max hyper-turbo sit-and-go with lottery-style prize pools, according to Somuchpoker. The format went live on Stake.us on June 29 and on stake.com on July 1.

How the format works

Each JAQKpot! game is a three-player hyper-turbo sit-and-go that starts automatically once three players register. Before any cards are dealt, a hidden multiplier is drawn that sets the prize pool for that game. Blinds escalate fast enough that games finish in minutes, and players can run up to four tables at once.

There are four buy-in levels, $0.50, $2, $10 and $50, with maximum prizes of $10,000, $40,000, $200,000 and $1,000,000 respectively. The payout structure depends on the drawn multiplier: at 2x, 3x and 5x the game is winner-take-all, while at 10x and above the top three finishers are paid.

The odds behind the ceiling

The numbers that should anchor expectations: the maximum 20,000x multiplier occurs once per 10,000,000 games, and most games draw a multiplier in the 2x–5x range. The $1 million headline prize is real but sits behind both a one-in-ten-million multiplier draw and then winning the game itself.

This is the same design trade-off as every jackpot-style sit-and-go format: the multiplier draw takes a cut of expected value from ordinary games to fund rare large prizes. Players who value low variance are better served by the standard formats; the appeal here is explicitly the lottery component.

Where it fits

Poker formats of this type, short-handed, fast, multiplier-driven, have been a staple of regulated online poker rooms for years. Stake adding one to its poker product is a catch-up move as much as a novelty, and notable mainly because crypto casino poker rooms have historically offered a thinner product than their casino and sportsbook sides.

The source reporting comes from a poker industry site rather than an independent news outlet, so treat the finer numbers as the operator's own. Stake sits in our current top ten; our Stake review covers the wider platform.
